All cites have a reason for being. All cities have a history that explains it's existence.
Cities become the center of worship. Jerusalem is no exception, rather the ideal city.

When you have a common purpose for the good of the city, it becomes a rallying point.

The future belongs to those who believe in it. Many cities collapse when those in power lose a reason for having children and passing their values on to their children. This creates apathy and weakness and often creates a vacuum for more robust sacred ideologies to replace it.

God has made the basic elements of the city. This is a connection point for each of us.
