Good News from Higgins

Got this note this morning from Howard "Higgins" Webb from New Zealand.

Thought it was time to tell you what's going on :-)!

First, we landed some funding for the new Love Your Neighbour website -- USD 20,000 to be exact. So it's all systems go for that, should be fully functional and up and running by 1 June.

Then, you need to know about the flow-on effects of your EFC conference last year. Your book is popping up everywhere! Bruce Patrick (pastor Baptist Tabernacle, the guy I wanted to bring to Colorado last time) spoke at the 2006 Nazarene conference, and preached your book. The write-up is in the latest issue of the Daystar, a Christian rag that showcases the work of Vision Network of New Zealand.

Lindsay Jones is the Baptist church health / growth guru. He is offering subsidised copies of the book to whoever wants one -- see http://www.baptist.org.nz/default.asp?id=192 go to the bottom of the page...

The book was recently reviewed on 'Between the Covers' on Radio Rhema -- the reviewer came along to our Christchurch meeting at Spreydon Baptist! Rave reviews, of course...

David Allis, very senior in the Apostilic Church, had breakfast with me the other day. I gave him a copy of your book. Within 2 hours he was back and ordered 20 more for his whole national council. Very significant!

Lincoln Road Bible Chapel is taking 100 of your books -- they want every person attending a homegroup to have one, because they intend changing their DNA to become an externally focused church!

I have before me a letter sent out by Mark Beale, pastor of St Elizabeths Anglican church, a man known for his work in the community. A great guy, extremely well known, a bit of a legend. The letter to his congregation is 6 pages long, and in it he quotes extensively from your book and says, this it what we want our church to be like.

Would you be willing to send Andy or Daniel or Dan or maybe Rich Lotterhos' daughter--someone really qualified to teach on this? We are one message away from revival!
