City Impact Roundtable--April 2-5, 2006

Sam and I will be attending City Impact Roundtable in Cedar Rapids. For all of you stateside folks, this would be a good conference to attend with several bonafied models that we'll be looking at.

Here is the last iteration of the schedule

1) Workshop synopses & presenter bios to be included in registration packet.
2) City Model Presentation guidelines will be sent to presenters. We will carefully facilitate a model of one hour or less of presentation time, followed by at least 15 min. for open Q & A & Interaction.
3) Roundtable Facilitators carefully chosen and briefed on how to maximize “take-aways”

Sunday, April 2

5:30 Dinner for CIR Design Team @ Hawthorne Inn
7:30 “Pre-meeting” for veteran CIR attendees: worship, relationship building & intercession

Monday, April 3

9:00 Continue worship & intercession for the CIR @ Hawthorne (Lynn facilitates)
LC2C Pilot City leaders & coaches meet (Tom, Phil, Jarvis, Charles, Tony, Barney)
11:00 Registration Opens @ Venue (sign-ups for workshops, TableTalks & city consultations)
1:00 Welcome, announcements, display table plugs (Tom, Jarvis, Charles)
1:30 OVERVIEW: “Streams in the City Transformation Paradigm” (Tom, powerpoint)
(option: Phil interviews Tom last 10 minutes re: Non-Western city movements)
2:00 CITY MODEL #1: Coachella Valley CA (Paul, Jim & Larry…also intro LC2C)
(Paul brings greeting, then one hour to present model, with 15 min Q & A)
3:30 Coffee
4:00 Workshop Breakout #1 (wrap no later than 5:15!)

(Atlanta shares briefly, then Glenn moderates the panel; include Doug Stringer?)
10:00 Roundtable #2: Discerning Contextual Action Steps
10:45 Coffee (CIR Design Team huddles to discern & decide closing)
“Pop-Up” Info-mercials, plugs, etc. 11:00 to 11:15, with coffee)
11:15 Discerning the Word of the Lord (Tom, Jarvis & Francis lead)
11:30 Intercession for Strategic Cities & prayers for spiritual awakening (Tom & Lynn facilitate)
