What has been your greatest success?

May 1 Prayer service on day that usually is a celebration of anarchy. This year was very successful. Big open air worship service right before the first Anarchist demonstration. During the night before there were prayer groups praying among the demonstrators in the streets. The impact on the city was that the newspapers wrote that it was the most peaceful may 1 in 20 years. No injuries or riots.

Day of Pryaer and encouragement for students, parents and teachers in primary and secondary schools. What came out of this was a web site where each school is prayed for. Students and parents are praying for the gospel to have impact in each school.

What is working well?

New Office in the midst of a very post-modern part of Berlin.

Starting and developing of forums on politics and education etc.

What is “stuck”?

Not enough extension of number of churches involved.

Not enough funding.

What has been your biggest surprise?

Research Data Bank Project.

GFB draws people from churches to pray together and impact the city and the churches involved. Blue triangles are areas like economy, politics, etc.

For example, the prayer forum impacted May 1. Forum of lawyers has started to pray for the Court. Mayor is an open homosexual. The churches pray for city government. City networks also bless the schools.
