This is the flow of each day.

FFU is knowledge

Hear/See/Mean is understanding through conversation

Report outs bring decision of priority

Action comes by intentional follow through and recording.

Group 1

A lot can be gained by moving from vision and action to training.

Going where people are asking for help. Listen for people asking for help. Sometimes the areas we can help are obvious but we still can miss them.

Hosea 11:4 4 I led them with cords of kindness, with the bands of love, and I became to them as one who eases the yoke on their jaws, and I bent down to them and fed them.

We need to get better at success metrics. From Jim Collins Good to Great and the Social Sectors.

Business men are able to lead without the cultural baggage of pastors.

Don't try to get business interested in what your doing. Get interested in what business is doing. Have your church join the chamber of commerce. Join at the highest dollar level. This results in immediate networks of people with resources and influence. Jesus taught in the synagogues but much of his ministry was in the marketplace.

Tim Sanders The likeability factor: "You can accomplish more in 2 months by taking a genuine interest in 2 people, than you can accomplish in 2 years trying to get two people interested in what your doing.

Business leaders are the church.

Group 2

Big vision: God's doing big things and wants us to be apart of it. Always in partnership with others.

Models are already in place in other cities. We don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Group 3

Leadership development.

Mercy/Justice as a act of God in communities

Expansion of networks of cities.

A sustainable vision of city transformation ministry.

Effective use of resources.

Group 4

Working together in public will have great impact.

Learning with skilled people brings fruitful ideas.

Group 5

Relationships are necessary but not a means to do something but an opportunity for love and care.

Avery Johnson cares about his team through strong relationship.

Our servant team never calls each other between meetings. Don't take relationships for granted. You must work at them. Do you have a short list of guys that you are initiating relationships of care about. Business relationships will not transform cities.

These things are cultural. Africans are different that Germans when building relationships. What does it cost to build a relationship.

Group 6

Connection with Government is new and seems to be working.

There are many different models. You have to apply the principles to your unique situation.

Relationships bear fruit that make the effort worthwhile.

Bringing people together around common issues.

Who makes up your leadership teams? Not just pastors, but a mixture of people.

The first place that God's Kingdom story intersects with our story it would be the family. The family is often the place of greatest need in our cities. By majoring on these issues we can make a lasting impact on our cities.
