What has been our greatest success?

Body of Christ's response to Hurricane Katrina. Outpouring of financial and people resources.

What has worked well?

Unite started as a one time/once a year event. Becoming and ongoing movement.

What is "stuck"?

Not a strong undergirding of faith with leaders.

What has been your biggest surprise?

In light of Katrina, secular world has come to the faith based community for help in responding.

Greatest Success:

• Mobilization and support to churches – Katrina Relief and Resettlement

o Resettlement – 750 – 1000 families

o Gulf Coast – 10 Teams multi church

• Launch of Public School Initiative
• Focus shifted to Katrina

What is working?

• Relationship and coordination of Leadership Team
• 10 churches

• Moving from annual event to ongoing movement

What is stuck?

• Leadership and Focus for Prayer
• Hopefully close to LT
• “Transformation Atlanta”

• Significant growth in number of “Unite churches” – many churches are still so inward focused

Biggest Surprises?

• Katrina – public (govt.) and secular nonprofit coming to “church” for help – also we received great PR by press for efforts
